Fun Fact:

Mike Literman drives a car with a manual transmission.

In loving memory of David Carradine

June 5th, 2009, 8:04 am

What a shame. Everyone go to their local movie rental shop and get Death Race 2000 and watch it in memory. I know he was in other movies and films, but none are as monumental as this classic.

Catching up with Mike Literman

June 3rd, 2009, 7:47 am

It’s been a while but since no one has left any comments since I last posted, I’ll just assume that everyone forgot to check the site and no one cares that I haven’t. So here goes…

I’m the best man in a wedding. I don’t like strip clubs, and neither does the groom, so what are we doing? Well every 8 year old boy’s dream birthday party. Laser tag, go carts, and video games! It’s going to be fantastic. That’s today. Soon. It’s ten thirty now in the AM now and that happens at 4. Then, big news everyone. Big.

Many moons ago, my band, Minuet, played it’s last show. It was about three years worth of moons. So we’ve been practicing, a lot. Like three hour sessions every other day for two weeks. We as a band were worried that we wouldn’t be prepared as many of us have not touch our dusty ol’ instruments for months now. Little known fact? To a lesser extent, playing music is like riding a bike. We all stood in the room, with our respective instruments and hit the first note, and then the second, and so on. Muscle memory is a wonderful thing because our fingers, hands, and feet remembered an entire record. Three years old, the entire thing. Sure, there was a bit of rust, but we cleaned that right off. Navel Jelly is great for rust. I recommend it to anyone who is fixing up an old bike. So that show is tonight and we are ready. We’re going to play, hard. Really hard. I am going to play so hard I throw up. It’s been years since I’ve played with these kids, my friends, my brothers, on stage in front of (less than) millions. If you’re in the area, come on out.

What else? The initial starts of training for a bike marathon. 62.5 miles. It will be the second time and this will be better than the last time. There will be more people, more bikes, more fun, more friends, tons of hot dogs. I’m looking to get some clipless pedals, too. If anyone has some recommendations for me, that would be great. I’ve got my eyes on some specific stuff, but I’d like to hear what the masses have to say.

Soon, there will be plenty of pictures from all of the above events and happenings. Enjoy.

4th of July Shrapnel

This hit us when we were watching the fireworks. We probably should have moved back, but we didn’t.
